Jam Jar Non Uniform Day

Jam Jar Non-Uniform Day is tomorrow (Friday July 2nd) so children can come to school dressed in their own clothes in return for bringing a filled Jam Jar.

Thank you to families who have already sent us Jam Jars- I’ve attached a photograph to show how lovely they can look! Very ingenious to use a paper cup too! Any container will do really!

The Jam Jar stall is part of PTA tradition here at St Peter’s! It is always a very popular stall at the summer fayre so we wanted to make sure the children did not miss out! As always, we need your help though!

We ask each child to find a clean, empty jam jar (other jars are available of course, but please make sure the jar has not previously contained a strongly flavoured product such as chilli sauce!) and decorate it with stickers etc. The jar should then be filled with wrapped sweets or small toys, stationery items, hair bobbles and slides …… anything a child might like to win!

We appreciate that time is very tight for some people so if you are unable to fill a Jam Jar please send a donation of £1 and we can use this funding to buy some goodies to make up some more Jam Jars. Of course, we don’t want any children to miss out, so we need enough Jam Jars for every pupil to win one!
