Mr Urdd
Cymraeg Campus- Llongyfarchiadau! Congratulations!
Today we have undergone our assessment for the Bronze Award of the Cymraeg Campus scheme. This initiative is designed to encourage pupils in English medium primary schools to develop and use their Welsh language skills as much as possible. The children have all done a great job in demonstrating their confidence with Welsh language and the members of our Criw Cymraeg were wonderful, telling the assessors about the variety of activities and projects they have undertaken in school.
We are very proud that we have achieved this Bronze Award and look forward to building on these strong foundations as we move onto the Silver Award.
Eisteddfod Preparations
Each year we celebrate Dydd Gwyl Dewi – St David’s Day by holding an Eisteddfod.
This year’s singing competitions (KS2) will use some of the songs which were selected to be part of Dydd Mwsig Cymru in 2019. Take a look at this PowerPoint to find out more.
Patrwm yr wythnos – Phrase of the week
This week’s Patrwm is in readiness for Dydd Gwyl Dewi (Saint David’s Day). Dydd Gwyl Dewi Hapus which means Happy St David’s Day.
Last week’s focus was Dw i ddim yn siwr which means I’m not sure.
Take a look at some of our video clips to help you practise the Patrwm yr wythnos.
Please keep using mae’n ddrwg gen i to say sorry, esgusodwch fi to say excuse me and diolch instead of thank you or diolch yn fawr, instead of thank you very much.
We are using the language charter Cymraeg Campus to help us as we inspire our children to use their Welsh in all aspects of their lives.
