Our Criw Cymraeg are our pupil voice ambassadors for promoting the Welsh language. They run our popular ‘Caffi Criw Cymraeg’ for a few weeks each year in the summer term. This fun initiative promotes the use of incidental Welsh in our school community.
Our Criw Cymraeg will play an important role in our School Development Priority to promote the use of the Welsh language in and around our school this year.
Members of our Criw Cymraeg have competed in the Urdd Eisteddfod and they help to organise and run our school’s St. David’s Day Eisteddfod annually.
Last year, for the first time, the Darland Cluster of schools had a cluster Eisteddfod too. This meant that our Criw Cymraeg members could celebrate the Welsh language with learners from other settings.
