ECO COMMITTEE
Our Eco-Committee has members from years 2-6 who attend regular meetings to discuss action plans and next steps.
We are a multi platinum award winning school with a strong legacy of eco work which has been focused on helping our leaners to become ‘ethical informed citizens’ who are able to make choices about what they do, based on the knowledge that we help them to develop.
EARTH DAY 2025

HEDGEHOGS
We have a hedgehog hotel at the top of our school field which some of our pupils built when we found ‘Peter’ the hedgehog trapped in a create on our playground. After spending some time with Rossett Hedgehog Helpers Peter returned – and brought Mrs. Tiggiwinkle with him for company!

DEAD HEDGE
In 2024 we completed an inter-generational project at school to create a ‘dead hedge’ in our forest area. Our ‘dead hedge’ is not really dead – it provides a ‘wildlife corridor’ for animals to use as shelter and protection – it is also a great place for us to put dead fall from the trees as well as garden waste.
GARDENING WITH ‘FARMER’ MURRAY
Pupils grow fruits and vegetables in our school allotment under the guidance of local resident Mr Charles Murray A.K.A ‘Farmer’ Murray – the produce is sent home once harvested so families can share in the hard work too!

‘WORSHIP LEADERS’ GROUP
Our ‘Worship Leaders’ group are our pupil voice representatives for R.V.E (Religion, Values and Ethics) and Collective Worship. They lead class-based worship and promote our Christian values throughout our school. The ‘Worship Leaders’ group have written a prayer for our school governors which we share before starting Full Governing Body meetings.
HEALTH COUNCIL
Our Health Council is our newest pupil voice group and is looking at actively developing ways to promote health and well-being in out school.
